Dr. Lucienne Park

Dr. Lucy Park is a dedicated and experienced dentist who finds immense joy in helping her patients achieve beautiful, healthy smiles. Her journey into dentistry began during her college years after a mission trip to Bolivia, where she suffered a significant dental injury. The comprehensive and exceptional care she received during her recovery, both in Bolivia and the United States, ignited her passion for dentistry and underscored the critical importance of oral health to overall well-being.

Dr. Park earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2021. Prior to that, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Maryland, College Park in 2015. Her academic journey was marked by excellence, as evidenced by her Banneker/Key Scholarship, a four-year full tuition scholarship.

Dr. Park's professional experience is both diverse and extensive. She has worked as a locum general dentist in various practices, providing comprehensive dental care and adapting quickly to different practice environments. Her roles have included performing general dental procedures, diagnosing oral health issues, and developing personalized treatment plans. As an Associate General Dentist at Greenberg Dental and Orthodontics, she managed an average of 20 to 30 patients per day, performing a wide range of procedures from x-rays and cleanings to crowns, bridges, and implant restorations. Her commitment to patient education and satisfaction has been a cornerstone of her practice.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Park has demonstrated strong leadership and a commitment to professional development. She co-founded the US-Korea Dental Student Study Club, where she recruited members and organized virtual study sessions to explore different treatment plan options. As an Admissions Ambassador at Penn Dental Medicine, she facilitated discussions and tours for prospective students, helping them navigate their future careers in dentistry. Her involvement with the Society for Professional and Higher Education and the American Academy of Developmental Medicine & Dentistry further highlights her dedication to the field.

Dr. Park is also deeply committed to community service. She has volunteered as a tutor for One Love 4 Kids, providing virtual and in-person SAT tutoring to underserved high school students. Her volunteer work extends to the Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission, where she prepared and served meals to the homeless community in Philadelphia, and Liberty Church, where she provided oral hygiene education to those in need. Additionally, she has participated in the Special Olympics Summer Games at Penn State University, offering oral health screenings and making mouth guards for athletes.

Her research experience is equally impressive. Dr. Park has conducted significant research on biosensors for noninvasive monitoring of caries development and periodontal disease, presenting her findings at prestigious conferences such as TechConnect World and the American Chemical Society National Exposition. Her work has been published in renowned journals like Talanta and Biosensor and Bioelectronics.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Park enjoys exploring different cuisines and cooking dishes from around the world. She cherishes quiet walks in cool weather and values spending quality time with her family and friends. Fluent in Korean, and Invisalign certified, Dr. Park is a well-rounded individual dedicated to making a positive impact in the field of dentistry.
